Message my motor in the races in which I participate. I had to install a large Howe radiator, weld my thermostat open, and build a dry sump to keep my water and oil temps in check. I know this from *direct* experience my friend, no guessing involved. Now you want to tell me that sticking a big brick of an intercooler in front of my radiator and oil cooler won't make a difference? Plain wrong.

Couple points....
- Most people who install front mounts on this board do not race their car. They squirt up and down the street, and in those conditions the car probably doesn't need all of that water cooling capacity anyway, so the FM probably doesn't make the difference in overheating or not. Thus the conclusion that FM's don't affect cooling, and the lack of data that you mention.
- You make a point about rally cars, etc.......I bet if you look closely, they've got air ducted to the radiator from some other location. I also recall reading that they use water spray on radiators and intercoolers to cool them. Basic point - you generally can't use race cars with which you are unfamiliar as proof of concept, because there are so many non-obvious tricks that you can't draw conclusions.
- Plus, basic common sense tells you that if you put something in front of the radiator which heats the air stream, the radiator gets less and hotter air to cool it.

I AM POSITIVE that a front mount would make my car undriveable due to overheating. Look at my profile, I ought to know.
